Organisation

The Board, on proposal of the Foundation’s Director, may appoint Directors for the Programs, Projects or specific activities it executes.

In order to facilitate the execution of activities and fulfil the purposes of Fundación GADEA por la Ciencia (FGC), Work Commissions will be created in charge of the functional development of specific areas consisting of a limited number of voluntary members from the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA).

    Delegate Commission of the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA)

    Mission: attend, on request of the Director of Fundación GADEA por la Ciencia (FGC) or any of its members, any matters of general interest that demand immediate attention for review and processing.

    The Delegate Commission of the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA) shall meet with an indeterminate frequency and report on its activities to the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Board.

    The Delegate Commission of the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA) shall be responsible for the design and maintenance of the communication strategy of Fundación GADEA por la Ciencia (FGC).

    Organisation and Access Commission

    Mission: as one of the main objectives of Fundación GADEA por la Ciencia (FGC) is to become a body of involvement for players in all scientific areas through its Scientific Advisory Council (CCA), it shall have to feed from scientists that accredit a given qualification and wish to do so.

    It shall draft the basis for admission of successive members of the Scientific Advisory Council, which shall furthermore determine the rights and obligations of such membership. New members shall have the consideration of Associate Directors.

    It shall determine the number and profile of Director posts as well as the knowledge areas to be covered.

    It shall set the periodicity and resolve on the admission or rejection of candidates, which if applicable shall be raised to the Scientific Advisory Council and the Board for final approval and appointment.

    Design, propose and articulate models of involvement of Associate Directors aimed at the fulfilment of the foundational objectives.

    Studies and Programs Commission

    Mission: as one of the main objectives of Fundación GADEA por la Ciencia (FGC) is the execution of a series of scientific activities that have been previously approved by the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA) and the Board, the Commission shall ensure its best execution. For such purpose, considering the diversity, the following Commissions shall be established:

    Training Commission

    It shall assume the design, coordination and execution of the Senior Management Research, Innovation and Transfer Program (PADIIT) and veil for its assessment and best execution.

    It shall draft the corresponding tenders and specifications, cooperating with the identification of possible interested parties, their information and invitation to take part.

    It shall cooperate to present and explain the Program to interested institutions seeking their interest and involvement.

    It shall cooperate with the identification of possible sponsorships.

    It shall inform on the possibility and suitability of new training programs.

    Observatory and Forum Commission

    It shall follow-up on the R&D&i situation in Spain and its reference environment and the annual program of Forum GADEA Ciencia, including the selection of subjects and speakers and subsequent content editing.

    Based on its criteria, it shall propose any other complementary action in this sense.

    Symposiums and specific scientific content meetings commission

    It shall assume the selection of knowledge areas to cover by these actions, attending to those already highlighted by the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA), and their schedules. It shall propose the directors/coordinators and, with them, the specific matters to cover and the corresponding speakers in each program, the design and execution of meetings and subsequent gathering and editing of content.
    It shall cooperate on the presentation of the Program to Institutions and stakeholders in each case, seeking their interest and involvement.

    It shall cooperate with the identification of possible sponsorships.

    It shall inform on the possibility and convenience of new matters and publicising events.

    Research and Transfer Commission

    Mission: favour applied research and its approach to business interest by identifying projects with potential value add, helping them in their applied development.
    The Commission will prepare actions to identify business interests in the field of research, facilitating the approximation to research groups that can support them, and their desirable mutual cooperation.

    Furthermore, it shall prepare actions to identify existing research interests, facilitating the approximation to business groups that may be interested in their development, and their desirable mutual cooperation.

    It shall assume the design, coordination and execution of the Aids “Launcher” Program to promote and finance business projects with a scientific origin.

    For this, it shall draft the bases that shall govern the various tenders, type of tender (Life Science or Basic Science…), and their presentation to the public and private/business sectors.

    It shall determine the periodicity and tender periods, which in principle, will be annual.

    It shall manage the project/candidate assessment and selection processes presented, proposing suitable assessors, preferably from the members of the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA).

    It shall propose the successful candidacies to be sanctioned by the Scientific Advisory Council (CCA) and the Board.

    It shall cooperate in selecting pairs and the financing strategy in each case.
