Ph.D., became Provost and Executive Vice President of the Universidad of Iowa last June 2019. Until the she was dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Humanities and Sciences on July 1, 2016. She came to VCU from North Carolina State University, where she served as the head of the Department of Statistics and James M. Goodnight Distinguished Professor of Statistics. She received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Valladolid in Spain and a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Chicago.

Ph.D., es desde junio de 2019 Provost y Vicepresidenta Ejecutiva de la Universidad de Iowa. Hasta entonces fue decana de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias y catedrática de Estadística en Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Llegó a VCU de la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte (NC State), donde fue directora del Departamento de Estadística, catedrática de Estadística, y James M. Goodnight Distinguida Profesora de Estadística. Montserrat recibió la licenciatura en matemáticas de la Universidad de Valladolid en España y un doctorado en estadística de la Universidad de Chicago.
