Graduated in Physical Sciences and in Philosophy, is a Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Between 1991 and 1996 he was Deputy Research Rector at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He has been a visiting lecturer at several international institutions, including the University of New York (USA) where he has done research on History of Astronomy; the University of Quilmes (Argentina) where he taught a course on History of Astronomy and Cosmology and the Higher Technological Institute of Monterrey (Mexico), UNAM (Mexico). He was a member of the Alfonso Reyes Chair of the Monterrey Institute of Technology between 2000 and 2006. Since the beginning of his career, he has worked primarily in the fields of philosophy and history of science and technology. He is currently working on the analysis of the relationship between science and war.
